同じアジア人だというだけで勝手に親近感を覚えてしまうAlvin。とてもシャイで控えめな印象がありますが、あのJoeと小学校以来の幼なじみなのですから絶対それだけではないはず。実は影のリーダーだったりして・・・再来日が実現したら、是非捕まえて質問攻めにしてみたいものですね。

これって多分YouTubeになかったようなので、今更ながらアップロードしました。本当に一生忘れられないライヴです。
この前日メンバーとお会いする機会があったのですが、何気なくJeordieに「明日、雨らしいよ」と言ってみたところ、
「その方がいいよ。みんなズブ濡れになるんだ、きっと楽しいよ」
・・・そんな余裕たっぷりのリラックスムードがバンド内に漂っていたからこそ、あんなに素晴らしいライヴを見せてくれたのでしょうか。
（結局雨は降らなかったけど）
この時からAaronファンになった人って、きっといっぱいいるんでしょうね。

Some shows in December

We just booked the tickets today and our boys The Icarus Line are
finally playing their headlining gig in New York supporting the newest album "Black Lives at the Golden Coast". We'll announce the venue/dates next week, it will definitely be a party. For now let us tell you there are also some SoCal gigs on the menu. December 6th is a show at Orange County haunt DETROIT BAR, there are also shows in Long Beach, San Diego and one in LA as well. Stay tuned for details... If you can't wait until December for some Icarus Line action, frontman Joe Cardamone is playing a special solo show at 3 Of Clubs on TONIGHT! Also on the bill are Annie Hardy of Giant Drag and our own Foreign Born's frontman Matt Popieluch's other project Big Search.

Nirvana - "Scentless Apprentice"

5月の来日時には、AIRSで4-50本ものDVDを買い漁っていたというAaron。その中の一つが、Nirvanaのこの映像を収録したものだとか。
「これはとても有名なショウだ。君達Kurt Cobainの×××を見たことあるかい？」
・・・詳細は上のリンクにて。AaronはNirvanaのライヴ、14才の時に２回観たことがあるそうです。
ちなみに、ちょうど誕生日だったTrentには、戦利品の中からGang of FourのDVDをプレゼントしたらしいですよ。

Penance Soireeがリリースされた頃の、Donの長いインタビューを見つけました。ドイツ語ですが。
Meatmakerは、US盤とUK盤とで微妙に違ったヴァージョンになっているそうです。USヴァージョンはよりアグレッシブでアメリカ的、UKヴァージョンはベースとエレクトロ色が強くてヨーロピアンな感じなのだとか。
